Duratray team in Canada keeps growing

Duratray Canada team expansion

Duratray International’s office in Canada keeps expanding. In addition to our Chief Operations Officer, Ximena Araya, new team members have come on board to look after Duratray’s client base in Canada and develop new business opportunities.

Pete Lahucik will be in charge of Market Development and Sales through his consultancy company Lahucik Consultant. He is well-known in the mining industry of North America with more than 35 years of experience in Canada, United States, and Mexico.

Joseph Peterson is Duratray International Canada’s new Field Supervisor. He has diverse and in-depth experience in welding, incorporating several disciplines to the trade. Peterson will soon arrive in Australia for training purposes, and to meet the team in Melbourne.

Rodrigo Diaz is a Mechanical Engineer from Universidad de Santiago in Chile and is currently in charge of the Engineering department in Canada, working in collaboration with the engineering team in Australia.

In March next year, COO Ximena Araya and BDM Pete Lahucik will be attending PDAC in Toronto, which is regarded as the world’s premier mineral exploration and mining convention for people, companies and organisations to connect to mineral exploration.

In April 2023, the team will be accompanied by Managing Director Marcelo Medel and Australia’s COO Steve Hall at Duratray’s exhibition at CIM in Montreal. CIM is a Canadian annual convention that unites mining professionals for an extensive plenary and technical program, an innovative expo, and reputable networking and social events.

In October this year, the team in Australia had the pleasure to meet Ms Ximena Araya as she attended the IMARC conference in Sydney and later visited the Duratray’s offices in Brisbane and Melbourne.

These is laying out the basis for all the growth anticipated for Canada and comes to show how important the Canadian market is to Duratray International.
