Duratray Featured in Canadian Government's Study on Reducing Carryback in Cold Weather

Updated: 7 days ago

We are proud to announce that Duratray has been featured in Transport Canada's recent publication, "Carryback: Preliminary Study of Mitigation Measures to Reduce Adhesion of Bulk Materials to Containers in Cold Weather." This study delves into the persistent challenge of carryback—residual material adhering to containers after unloading—and evaluates innovative solutions for mitigating this issue, particularly in cold climates.

The report highlights the effectiveness of Duratray's Suspended Dump Body (SDB) system, noting:

"By using a sophisticated Analytic Hierarchy Model process, they were able to conclude in this case the adoption of the Duratray SDB was able to increase fleet performance and reductions in carryback."

This recognition underscores the impact of Duratray's innovative design, which enhances operational efficiency by minimizing carryback and optimizing fleet performance. By addressing the challenges posed by material adhesion, particularly in extreme weather conditions, our SDB system continues to set new benchmarks in the mining industry.

We are honored to be acknowledged in this important study and remain dedicated to providing solutions that drive productivity, sustainability, and cost efficiency for our clients worldwide.
